These self-guided walking tours make for a perfect morning or afternoon. Download the mobile app or print the two-page 'A Walk Through History.' The tours are similar, but not identical - each tour takes 90-120 minutes.

Parking: Free and metered parking is available on the perimeter streets around the neighborhood (Michigan St., East St., New York St., and College Ave.).

Self-Guided Walking Tour (Mobile App)

This tour is a part of the Historic Urban Neighborhoods of Indianapolis Tour Series. The Indianapolis Bicentennial Commission endorses it as an 'Official Indy Bicentennial Community Project.' The neighborhood has two bookmarkindy sites, one for James Whitcomb Riley (the famed Hoosier Poet) and one for Johnny Gruelle (the creator of Raggedy Ann and Andy).
