Lockerbie Square Historic District 4th of July Parade & Picnic

Join us in celebrating a tradition dating back to 1916 at the Lockerbie Square Historic District 4th of July Parade and Picnic! Lockerbie residents have a long tradition of coming together to celebrate Independence Day, and we could not be more excited to continue this proud tradition. Join us in person this July 4th for a parade and picnic.

Event Details:

  • Date: July 4, 2024
  • Parade Start Time: 6:00 PM
  • Picnic: Immediately following the parade
  • Location: Lockerbie Square Historic District

Highlights:

  • Parade: Gather at 5:45 PM at N East St and E Vermont St. The parade will kick off at 6:00 PM, travel east along Vermont St, south on N Park Ave, and west along Lockerbie St to conclude at the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home Lawn.
  • Participate: Decorate your bikes, wagons, and strollers, or join us on foot for a festive parade through our historic streets.
  • Picnic: Following the parade, we'll host a picnic on the JWR Museum Home Lawn. Please plan to bring your own picnic meal. The Lockerbie Neighborhood Association (LSNA) will provide drinks (beer, wine, water, soft drinks) and individually packaged desserts. Bring your own picnic lunch, blankets, and chairs for a relaxing community picnic.
Looking forward to seeing you there. Happy 4th!
